This is advertising the ride '13' at Alton towers. The purpose is to advertise the ride and the theme park in general, this is show by the name of the ride being in bold at the top of the page and the name of the park at the bottom corner of the page. Although there isn't much writing on the advert, the language that used is formal as its a website but it is also informal as it is trying to appeal to the reader. The audience it is directed at is teenagers/young adults,we know this as it is colourful and the idea of a scary ride idea is fun to people of that age group.

Well done on getting your first entry up and running, but I'm expecting to see at least 4 more here considering texts that you have found.
ReplyDeleteCan you start picking out examples when you're discussing language - that way you're showing a full engagement with the text!
Cheers,
Mr Skirrow
